Join Us for The Holiday Walk, Nov. 22 and 23

BY AMY L. VANLOON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, WHITE LAKE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

What better way to bring in the holidays and shop locally than the 26th Annual White Lake Holiday Walk! This year's Holiday Walk takes place the weekend of November 22 and 23 along the streets of Montague and Whitehall with dozens of participating businesses.

Enjoy Christmas Open Houses, featuring gift guides, discounts and special sales, and delicious refreshments. Visit with Santa Claus and see if you made the nice list this year (fingers-crossed).

Just because it's a holiday walk doesn't mean you have to wear out your shoes! Free trolley and carriage rides can take you back and forth between Whitehall and Montague.

Participating merchants and Santa's time and locations are located on the Holiday Walk Star Map/Entry Form, which can be picked up at the White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce or any participating Holiday Walk stop (look for the big blue sign in the window). Submit your completed Holiday Walk Map/Entry Form and enter the drawing to win a $50 White Lake Gift Certificate. (Maps will be available soon).

Crafts for kids are among Christmas Walk activities.

Gather at the north end of Mears Avenue and enjoy the festive voices of the members of the Whitehall High School with friends and family, while the aroma of roasted chestnuts fills the air and hundreds of holiday luminaries line the sidewalks.

Enjoy the Season of Giving. Friday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday noon to 3:00 p.m., old-fashioned carriage rides await you in both Montague and Whitehall. Trolley rides transport you to any of our participating merchants throughout Montague and Whitehall Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., all courtesy of Coldwell Banker Woodland Schmidt.

Share in the spirit of Christmas with holiday caroling and a visit with Santa Claus as you stroll along our downtown areas. Again, visit and shop local area stores and take part in their special discounts and offers this weekend only!
