Special Programs

Want to get your voice heard? Submit a zine (or more than one!) to Hackley Library’s newest interactive collection, the Muskegon County Community Zine Collection. This special collection aims to amplify voices in our community, especially voices that are marginalized. This special collection will consist of submissions from adults living in Muskegon County, and be available for patrons to take home and read. What’s a zine you ask? They can be handmade booklets, pamphlets, and more that feature text, stories, imagery, artwork, comics, a mixture of everything, and more! Your stories, your thoughts, your artwork, your poetry, whatever creativity is bursting to get out, we want to put it in our collection. To submit your zine, simply go to your nearest Muskegon County library and ask for a zine submission form, or download a form at hackleylibrary.org (click the Zines page under the Local History and Genealogy tab).
